WHICH CLASS IS RIGHT FOR ME?

Ashtanga Yoga Classroom

These sessions will allow a modified Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series experience in traditional classroom or Mysore style. You will learn this practice at your own pace, guided by a teacher, with plenty of modifications and insight into how to fit the practice into your body, goals, and lifestyle. 

Come in anytime during the 2-hour schedule for your own personal Mysore-style Ashtanga practice.

Intensity: moderate

Sweat level: somewhere between a glistening brow and a few drips on the yoga mat.


SLP! Squats, Lunges, & Planks

Build strength, endurance, and confidence with SLP – Squats, Lunges, & Planks! This high-energy, yoga, weights, and endurance fusion class slaps ya hard, in all the best ways! Sculpt, sweat, and see results that will keep you motivated and build confidence in your body, mind, and whole self.

Intensity: high

Sweat level: bring water and an extra towel


Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Vinyasa Flow yoga links breath and movement through postures and sequences that build heat, improve flexibility, and get your heart and spirit racing. We flow with and without music or playlists and our classes may be heated to around 80 degrees. This is not a “hot yoga” class.

Vinyasa yoga classes are all levels classes, but practitioners should understand their own limitations and utilize posture modifications as needed.

Intensity level: moderate to high.

Sweat level: drippy – you may need to bring clothes to change into after class has ended.


Gentle/Chair Yoga

Gentle and/or chair-based movement and breath awareness for all levels of experience. This class is recommended for those with or recovering from injuries, mobility challenges, or for those just beginning a yoga, stretching, or gentle movement practice.

Intensity level: low

Sweat level: a light glow to a glistening brow.


Balanced Body | Yoga & Yin

Combining slow flow and yin yoga, students will discover the benefits of a whole-body yoga workout without rushing through postures. These classes focus on the sensations in the body as well as calming the mind through mindful movement, breath, and centering techniques.

This class is designed to help with injury recovery, those new to yoga and mindful movement, and those with mobility challenges. 

Intensity: low to medium 

Sweat level: radiant glow


Friday Happy Hour Yoga

What happens at happy hour stays at happy hour! Hang out with us, do a yoga, and let go of the week’s stresses and worries. This class is the least serious part of your week, don’t miss out on a chance to let loose and let go as you flow to fun music with some party people.

Intensity: moderate

Sweat level: a few drips on the yoga mat


Vinyasa Vibes Yoga

Our Vinyasa Vibes classes get you onto your mat while bringing a level of challenge and accomplishment that is accessible for all levels. These classes are a mixed bag of flowy fun, with each teacher bringing their own spin and expertise into the room. 

Intensity: varies, depending on the teacher

Sweat level: a few drips on the mat, a change of clothes if you are heading back to work.


Vinyasa Foundations Yoga

Vinyasa Foundations invites you to take a more mindful approach to breath-and-movement yoga and build a better awareness of your body, mind, and spirit.  This slow flow class is suited to beginners & those who want a change of pace from vinyasa flow or power yoga classes. 

Vinyasa Foundations classes are all levels classes, but practitioners should understand their own limitations and utilize posture modifications as needed.

Intensity: moderate

Sweat level: a glistening brow, maybe a drip or two on the mat


Kids Yoga Level 1

A kids yoga practice allows kids to understand their minds, bodies, and spirits. From creating fun shapes physically to discovering tools to self-regulate and calm the mind, kids yoga is a co-creative experience, where we all meet on the mat without judgment.

Samskara Stars Kids Yoga Level 1 classes are geared toward kids in elementary school (grades K-2) but all children age 5 & up can benefit.

Kids Yoga Level 2

A kids yoga practice allows kids to understand their minds, bodies, and spirits. From creating fun shapes physically to discovering tools to self-regulate and calm the mind, kids yoga is a co-creative experience, where we all meet on the mat without judgment.

Samskara Stars Kids Yoga Level 2 classes are designed for grades 3-5.


Viriya Power Yoga

Viriya is a Buddhist paramis that is always present in our lives: our effort, our energy, our power. This signature, power-filled yoga class is all about discovering your Viriya.

Through intense postures, breath, and sequencing, this class will shake up your prana, help you find your edge, and then leave you with an understanding of Aparigraha and your own spirit. Discover your own Viriya as you take on the challenge of your own body, mind, and spirit.

Intensity: high

Sweat level: bring an extra towel and a change of clothes.


Teen Yoga for Anxiety

According to the National Institutes of Health, nearly 1 in 3 of all adolescents ages 13 to 18 will experience an anxiety disorder.

Anxiety can present itself through challenging behaviors, poor attention, falling grades, or general feelings of worry and unease. Our kids are facing more pressure to succeed and survive than ever before. While yoga is not a cure, it can be one of many tools we use to help our children learn safe ways to process emotions, anxiety, and stress.

Teen Yoga for Anxiety combines physical activity, breathwork, and social-emotional learning techniques in a way that is accessible for teens and tweens (middle/high school age only, please) 


All-Levels Yoga Classroom 

Join the fun as we practice together with our Yoga Teacher Training students. Class formats may be Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin, or another style to help create a learning classroom for all participants.

Classes may be partially or fully taught by students in our teacher training or mentoring programs. 

Intensity: low to moderate

Ashtanga Full Primary Series

Ashtanga asanas or postures are repeated in the same order in each class providing students with a deeper insight into the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual changes that may occur over time.

These sessions will cover the full Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series – plan to spend 75-90 minutes in this class.

Intensity: moderate to high

Barre Fusion

Dance, yoga, core, functional strength, and a LOT of fun! Mindfully strengthen your body and mind. No dance, yoga, or fitness experience is necessary; all barre fusion classes teach to all levels of fitness.

Barre classes combine a dance-like experience with strength training, pilates, and yoga. You may sweat and you may shake, but you will definitely have fun and leave feeling more empowered than ever! 

Intensity: moderate to high

Sweat level: bring water and a towel!


Vinyasa FIRE

Heat it up in this challenging vinyasa flow/power yoga class that combines creative sequences and strength-building postures for a full body and mind workout. This class is mildly heated (80-85 degrees).

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a compliment to any Vinyasa, Ashtanga, or energetic style of yoga. It is also accessible to those who have injuries or who want to enhance flexibility.

Yin yoga postures are held longer to increase the benefit of a “slow and low” yoga practice and to create a meditative experience at the same time. Perfect for all levels, beginner to experienced.

Intensity: low to moderate

Sweat level: just a glow of satisfaction


Intro to Yoga

Discover a new relationship with your body and spirit through yoga. This class is perfect for those new to yoga, those returning to the practice, and for those with injuries and mobility challenges. Classes are small to allow for a more personal approach.

Intensity: low

Sweat level: a healthy glow to a light glisten


Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga classes allow your mind and body to receive, restore, and renew. You will be guided through a limited number of postures that are low to the ground and supported with props and plenty of modifications and assists during your practice.

Restorative yoga is perfect for those seeking better sleep, recovering from injuries, or with mobility challenges.

Intensity: low

Sweat level: little to none


Yoga Nidra

 

Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice of “yogic sleep” that involves guided meditation and body awareness to soothe and heal the rigors of life.

Intensity: none

Sweat level: none


Core Dynamics

Need a little extra… extra? Want to ramp up your yoga game, get competitive in your cycling or running, or just work on strengthening your core? We’ve got 45 Minutes of powerful core work to strengthen and tone the midsection and more!

Intensity: moderate to high

Sweat level: bring water and a towel


Barre Access

Not ready to step up to the Barre? Barre Access takes a slower, more methodical approach to barre fusion, adding in plenty of yoga stretching and postures, along with ballet, pilates, and functional movement. Perfect for beginners and those with mobility challenges.

Intensity: low to moderate
